Aerial (2024)

Aerial captures the fleeting instant in which the human being seems to break free from matter.

Inspired by the surfing maneuver of the same name, the work evokes the moment when the body lifts above the wave, suspended between control and surrender.

Triangular planes and ascending lines construct a space of elevation where gesture becomes a symbol of harmony and transcendence. A coral line runs through the composition, tracing the direction of the upward movement —an energetic axis that connects the body to the air.

The fragmented figure, with three faces suggesting simultaneous emotions, embodies the intensity of the act: fear, vertigo, and freedom coexisting in a single impulse.

The sea, reduced to folded geometric planes, serves as the earthly counterpoint to flight.

Aerial thus becomes a metaphor for humankind's enduring search for harmony with nature —an image of pure freedom.
