The Weight of the Gaze III (2025)

The Weight of the Gaze III concludes the triptych with a reflection on the dissolution of identity before the inner gaze.

The figure, almost dematerialized, seems to emerge or fade within a space dominated by vaporous color planes and structures that barely hold its form.

In contrast to the previous pieces, the pictorial matter here becomes more ethereal, as if the figure were freeing itself from the weight that once constrained it.

The face dissolves into translucent glazes, and the gaze—no longer directed outward but inward—suggests a state of reconciliation or surrender.

This final work brings the triptych’s narrative to closure, transforming tension into introspection: gesture shifts from struggle to acceptance.

The body dissolves, yet consciousness remains—suspended in a silence that suggests redemption.
