DIPTYCH
Right Regular & Left Goofy
Right Regular & Left Goofy forms a diptych exploring the essential duality between control and freedom, between structure and instinct.
Inspired by surf terminology —where regular and goofy describe the surfer's stance— the two paintings mirror and oppose each other, composing a balance that transcends the physical to touch the existential.
Each canvas begins with a wave moving in the opposite direction of the other, creating a dialogue of complementary forces. Beyond the gesture of surfing, the diptych beco- mes a metaphor for the human pursuit of harmony —between mastery and surrender, will and nature.
Through geometric planes, curves, and human fragments in motion, Plaza turns move- ment into language, and balance into a form of freedom.
